Terms of Use
The deal. Kosmos Hi‑Lo is free for personal use. We give you a license to use the app; we keep ownership of the software. Don’t resell it, rent it out, reverse engineer it, or use it to build a competing product.
Be decent. Use the app legally and don’t use it to spam, harass, defraud or harm people. We can suspend or close accounts that abuse the service or break the law. It’s also on you to make sure using the app is legal where you live — some countries restrict encrypted messaging apps.
Not a phone line. Kosmos Hi‑Lo is not a replacement for a regular phone. You cannot call emergency services (911, 112, etc.) with it. Keep a way to make emergency calls.
Your content is yours. We don’t claim ownership of anything you send. Since your messages are end-to-end encrypted, we couldn’t do anything with them anyway.
No promises. The app is provided as-is. We work hard to keep it fast, secure and available, but we can’t guarantee it will never go down or lose data, and we’re not liable for losses caused by interruptions or failures beyond what the law requires.
Leaving. You can stop using Kosmos Hi‑Lo and delete your account at any time, right in the app. We can end the service in your region or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Changes. If we change these terms, we’ll post the update here. Using the app after a change means you accept the new version.
The fine print. These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Kosmos Hi‑Lo is made by Switch168 Communications Corporation.
Privacy
We can’t read your messages. Conversations, calls and attachments are end-to-end encrypted. The keys live on your device, not our servers. This is a design constraint, not a policy promise — we couldn’t hand over your conversations even if asked.
We don’t collect your data. No ads, no trackers, no analytics tied to you, no selling data to anyone. The app works without your phone number, real name, or address book.
What we do need. A username/user ID so other people can reach you, and the minimum technical data needed to route your encrypted messages and calls. Optional encrypted backups are exactly that — encrypted, with keys we don’t have.
Deleting your data. Delete your account in the app and your data goes with it. You can also email support@kosmosmobile.com and we’ll handle it. And the Destroy code wipes all Hi-level content from your device instantly, any time you need it to.
Security
End-to-end encryption for messages, calls and files; QR codes for verifying contacts in person; encrypted cross-platform backups; and the Hi‑Lo Destroy code as a last line of defense. If you find a security vulnerability, please report it to support@kosmosmobile.com — we take reports seriously and respond quickly.
